MD Senator Withdraws Assisted Suicide Bill
Well friends, today is a pretty great day! As reported by WTOP, the legislation legalizing assisted suicide in Maryland, SB 418, has been withdrawn by its sponsor, Senator Ronald Young (D-Frederick).
It is certainly great to see victory in a neighboring jurisdiction, but the fight over legalized assisted suicide in the District of Columbia is not over. Therefore, we continue to need your help in opposing D.C.’s assisted suicide bill, B21-0038, the Death with Dignity Act of 2015.
To help, please share the fact sheet found here to spread awareness of the dangers of so-called Death with Dignity; follow No DC Suicide on Twitter and like No DC Suicide on Facebook to be informed of new developments; and, express your opposition to the bill by sending individual councilmembers a note of opposition here.
As always, thank you for your diligence in opposing assisted suicide in the District of Columbia.
